Where has my baby gone?

This morning marked a big milestone in Joshua's little life. He graduated from preschool! He will still attend the school for the next two months, but come August he is leaving Daisy Hill Academy and moving on to the next phase of his educational years. It's kind of bittersweet. We are really excited about the school he will begin attending next year but he's been at Daisy Hill since he was 3 months old! Several of the kids in his class have been there together since they were in the infant room and all of them are moving on to kindergarten or another year of Pre-K due to late birthdays. Joshua falls in the latter group. His birthday is 6 days past the cut off for Kindergarten but we opted to switch schools this year since most of his friends are moving schools and moving on as well. I almost broke down in tears this morning when he came and told me it would be weird to be at school next year without some friends that he's known his WHOLE life. It seems like I just went back to work from maternity leave with him just yesterday....yet here he stands a wonderfully funny, smart, handsome boy. All traces of his baby face are gone and he is going to be 5 come September...
